Blue moon Scavolini Carattere kitchen,

Carattere is a contemporary take on a traditional shaker kitchen, with the handle integrated in the door allowing for a seamless clean finish. This customer wanted lots of storage space without any wall units to make the room feel bigger and allow for more light to travel through. I love the customers choice to paint the ceiling in a dark navy blue to match the Blue moon units and has opted for warm orange pendant lighting which add warmth to the kitchen and gives the kitchen a stylish flair.

Kitchen remodel

For this remodel, the customer wanted more storage in the kitchen, while not using any wall units above the worktops to open up the space in the room, and to allow more light to travel through. So we achieved this by creating having a row of larder units on the right wall of the kitchen, to create adequate storage space but while leaving the opposite side open and bright.

We removed the existing kitchen and laid more of the existing LVT tiles to to areas that were uncovered due to the new layout.

Kitchen features

On the left we have a 105x60cm corner unit, 25cm base unit, 60cm oven unit, 45cm drawerline base unit and a 120x60cm corner sink unit on the right end. This perfectly contours the kitchen and gives the customer plenty of useable worktop space. We chose a black modern extractor hood for this kitchen that adds to the stylish and contemporary features of the kitchen. The splash back is in Stainless steel to match the stainless steel sink and strip on the oven, perfectly tying in all aspects of the kitchen.

On the right side wall we custom built a dresser unit which features two 45x206cm full height larder units with top boxes running along the top finished with a cornice. A 80cm wall unit which is designed with a integrated dish draining rack with a removable drip tray is located in the middle and we opted for integrated lighting underneath to illuminate the work surface below which makes it a perfect coffee/drinks station, and a shallow depth 80cm base unit below.

The worktops are Scavolini's compact laminate in Solar stone which is a stone finished laminate worktop which is textured to feel like stone. The colour compliments the blue cabinets and wall finishes and gives the kitchen a softer look.
